Huh. Saturday, with chemical assistance (the basil/lavender tea beforehand, and Ultram & ibuprofen during), I made it through a gig. Sunday was acute head-'splodey pain. I spent most of Monday asleep, apparently in reaction to Sunday. Tuesday I started out feeling much better, but crashed in late afternoon and woke in mid-evening feeling wobbly. Today so far: very disturbed sleep, oppressively weighty fatigue, some pain -- the magic tea has taken away the headache but staying on my feet feels like an awful lot of work and if I do get a second wind and try to go out, I'm going to need to take something for the pain in my knees, thighs, and lower back. If I give in and go back to bed, those pains probably aren't enough to keep me awake, so I'll reserve painkillers until I decide whether I'm leaving the house.
I need to get around to analysing the multiple-day sequences of states to look for cycles or other patterns, and seeing what happens if I change how I treat/react to conditions at different stages.
In the meantime, I'm trying to decide between a nap and OTC eye drops for the dried-out-from-sleep-deprivation feeling in my eyes.
