From the Quotation of the day mailing list, 2008-01-24:
"A dishwasher from Nancy, Vital Frerotte, who had just come back from Lourdes cured forever of tuberculosis, died Sunday by mistake." -- Felix Feneon, from the newspaper Le Matin, for which he wrote small filler stories. Feneon's "three-line stories" have been collected in the recent book, Novels in Three Lines.
