A Survey ...that I copied from silmaril, who got it from Mavis...

1.)Your name spelled backwards? Nnelg'd

2) Where were your parents born? Mom in Cyprus (I think in Nicosia, but I'll have to ask her), Dad in Washington, DC, I think. (Possibly Northern Virginia?)

3) Have you ever moved? Far too often.

4) What's your favourite restaurant? Meskerem in Adams Morgan, though Mandalay in College Park is also good, as is Tamber's in Baltimore. What ever happened to Siddartha?

5) Your bed is a single, double, queen or king size? Sometimes I sleep in a double, other times in an almost-king made of two singles pushed together.

6) Your favourite sport to play? Soccer.

7) How many kids do you want? Two to four. A little hard to reconcile that desire with ZPG ideals though.

8) Type of music you dislike most? That's a toss-up between Muzak-style (actually their competitors are worse) eviscerations of what had previously been good, bad, or mediocre but had at least had some soul; and the stuff where all I can really hear is the tone of voice of the "singer", but not the words nor any music (melody or interesting rythym).

9) Colour of your schoolbag? Uh, my camera bag is black, and my music bag is ... well it was white once upon a time, but if I wash it it'll disintigrate.

10) Do you have cable? No.

11) Favourite 80's song? That's a difficult choice. Probably "Children of the Sun".

12) Ever prank call anybody? No, but I've prank-answered. "Hello, Sadistic Catering Service! How may I hurt you?"

13) Ever get a parking ticket? Yes. :-(

14) Would you go bungey jumping or sky diving? Possibly someday, though hang gliding appeals to me more.

15) Furthest place you ever travelled? When I was too young to remember: Cyprus. Since then: Portland, OR.

16) Ever bowl over 300? Ever bowl, period? No, and yes (uh, twice, I think).

17) What's your favourite comic strip? Uh ... can I say a three way tie between User Friendly, Sluggy Freelance, and Kevin And Kell?

18) Do you really know all the words to our national anthem? No, I can only remember bits and pieces of the second and third verses, so I have to cheat and look them up if I want to get past the first verse.

19) Bath or shower? Shower.

20) Best movie you've seen in the last month: Dead Funny. On late-night television. I haven't been inside a theatre in the past month.

21) Favourite pizza topping? Single ingredient, or favourite combo? Fave combo is jalapeno/mushroom/pineapple.

22) Chips or popcorn? Usually chips. It varies.

23) Beer or ale? Shouldn't this be "lager or ale", since ale is a subset of beer? So far I have not found a lager I like, but I'll happily drink some porters and stouts, and ... I get "scotch ale" and "Scottish heavy ale" mixed up, but whichever of those Skull Splitter is. But really "my drink" isn't a beer: mead.

24) Have you ever smoked peanut shells? Have you ever smoked, period? No, and ... uh, not tobacco. (And it's been a while...)

25) Do you eat the skin on chicken? I didn't eat chicken even back when I used to eat meat.

26) Orange Juice: Whatever concentrate is on sale. I can appreciate Fine Orange Juice, but I can put up with whatever's cheapest, and since I'm on a starving-artist budget...

27) Favourite kind of cookie? Chocolate, with white chocolate chips and macadamia nuts.

28) Favourite type of chocolate bar? I mostly at Hershey Special Dark, but I'm using it as a drug. As a dessert, well I've got some exploring to do.

29) Your favourite vegetable? Les pommes de terre. Potatoes in so many forms...

30) Your favourite fruit? For flavour, cherries. For a convenient snack, bananas.

31) Have you ever won a trophy? Yes, but I'd almost completely forgotten about it!

32) Are you a good cook? Yes, when I have someone to cook for. It's all improvisational, so I don't know many recipes, but I'm good at what I do.

33) Do you know how to pump your own gas(petrol)? Aye.

34) Ever order an article from an infomercial? No.

35) Is Oprah annoying or great? When I've seen her, I've had the impression she has elements of each, but I don't usually pay attention.

36) Do you enjoy your present job? It's okay.

37) Ever flex in front of a mirror? Does trying to suck in my tummy count?

38) Ever thrown up in public? Last time I can actually recall right now was as a child.

39) Would you prefer being a millionaire or finding true love? Love. As much as I want to not have to worry about money all the time, the idea of having someone to grow old with and love and be loved by is much more powerful.

40) Do you believe in love at first sight? Of a sort. I believe that Important Connections can happen quickly, and that such a chance beginning can lead to love. Do you count that as "love at first sight", or try to pick it apart as, "love a few weeks after we acted on an attraction at first sight"?

41) Ever call a 1-900- number? Not that I can recall.

42) Ever been stood up on a date? Yes.

43) What is a major turnoff of the opposite sex? Being manipulative; trying to micromanage me; being emotionally absent.

44) Ever cheated on someone? No, though I've come close. And I've been in relationships with some curious rules as to what constitutes cheating.

45) Ever been cheated on? Yes.

46) What's your all time favourite Saturday Night Live character? Rossane Rosannadanna.

47) What was the name of your first pet(s)? Deeder.

There's no #48 or #49 so I'll make up my own. :-P

48) What kind of critter was your first pet? Parakeet

49) Do you talk baby-talk to animals? No, usually just normal speech.

50) Daddy or chips? Huh?

51) Tats or piercings? For myself? Piercings (so far ears only), though I could see a brand given the right circumstances. I can certainly appreciate nice tats on other people though!

52) Can ex's become friends? Yes. I'm friends with more of my exes than not, and on decently friendly terms with half of the remainder.
