silmaril wrote a "100 things about me" post that I very much enjoyed reading ... and she said a lot of things that got reactions from me, enough so that what I wound up writing was too long to post as a comment. (And besides, I wound up talking about myself enough that maybe it belongs in my journal instead of hers anyhow.)

Obviously this post is meant mostly for Silmaril to read, but I figured I'd share it here instead of emailing it privately in case anyone else is interested in what I reveal about myself in my reactions to what she wrote about herself.

Well the weather's been kind of chilly here for a few days, and actually cold overnight, so unless we get a slightly warmer spell soon, I'm going to have to finally get around to turning on the furnace and burning some heating oil, or plugging in the electric heaters (so far only the convection heater in the bathroom is running). The temperature is down to 288K in the front bedroom and only a couple of Kelvins warmer in the office. Mostly okay as long as I wear clothes, but starting to head into the uncomfortable zone.

I really like Autumn and Winter; I just wish heating oil didn't cost so much.
