Hmmm. The National Tartan Day events scheduled for 6 April on the Mall in Washington, DC (and 5 April at the Jefferson Memorial) have been postponed until next year due to security concerns and expected "DC gonna be kind of a mess" issues related to the impending war in Iraq. The mail notifying us of this pointed out that most of the other National Tartan Day events in Washington are going on as scheduled, just not the ones on the Mall, the monument, Ft. Blair, etc. But since the only part of it The Homespun Ceilidh Band was booked for was the part that got cancelled (excuse me, postponed until next year), it looks like I've got one fewer gig in April.
