I don't remember enough details to bore y'all with the plot, but I do remember enough to mention what I found curious...
It was a dream involving Lovecraftian gods and demons, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Dawn. The odd part was that I didn't interact with Buffy and Dawn -- it was more like I was watching an episode of BtVS when they appeared (including my saying things like, "No, cut back to that other scene; I need to see what she decides!") -- but their story was intricately connected to my own in real time. The parts I was "there" for were more comic-book in tone, involving some mysterious player of uncertain motives killing a deity with some ball that stole its powers. (Okay, that bit was a tiny bit like an episode of Charmed, but other aspects, including the convoy of horse-drawn carriages and a panel truck through caves, were more comic-book.) Buffy was dealing with a zombie who offered information in exchange for her giving him a "license to have sex" if he managed to become human again, and she was holding back until she could figure out why he thought a "license" from her meant anything, and what the ramifications were. Figuring that out seemed to be a Very Big Deal.
It was not a pleasant dream, but it was a very interesting one. For the last third of it I was aware it was a dream, and aware that my sleeping body was in physical discomfort, and trying to wake up so I could get out of bed and try to fix the discomfort.
In the dream before that I was one of the Three Musketeers, dealing with a lady's carriage that kept having mysterious breakdowns, and trying to repair it in the rain while she tried to arrange for me to lose my clothing an item at a time at each breakdown.
