Happy Cheese Weasel Day, everyone!

[livejournal.com profile] geekchick posted an adorable weasel photo. And [livejournal.com profile] kathrynt helpfully posted a *.wav file of the melody she came up with for The Cheese Weasel Song. (I heard the original melody sung once, a decade ago, and can't remember it. Kathryn's sounds right to me.) And it seems to be a thing for the whole office where [livejournal.com profile] infinitehotel works, as it was at the company where I first learned of the holiday (though they aim a little higher on the fancy-cheese scale). Here's the office FAQ on the holiday there. And [livejournal.com profile] jrw proposed a proposed Google logo if Google were to start celebrating Cheese Weasel Day.

Okay, it was after sunset and the type was a little smaller than ought to be used on a bumper sticker, but I swear the little red car ahead of me on Montgomery Village Avenue last night in Gaithersburg had a bumper sticker on it that said, "Get a taste of religion: Lick a Witch". Urf? (Admittedly, there are some Witches who come to mind whom I really could seriously enjoy licking, but I guess I'd best not name names. And at least one yummy atheist and an agnostic leap to mind as well. But I digress.) Couldn't quite make out two other stickers.

Missed Thrir Venstri Foetr rehearsal on Tuesday 'cause I started feeling too wobbly to get on the highway that evening. I need a more reliable body. We've got gigs coming up that we're preparing for. Did make it to Homespun Ceilidh Band rehearsal last night (after a too-brief but otherwise pleasant meeting with a friend I hadn't seen in waaaay too long), but wow, was I tired. Came home last night feeling thoroughly wiped out. My car is making more and more expensive-sounding noises. I worry. Especially since I need my car to get to rehearsals and gigs. Worry worry worry bleah.

One of the things my old friend and I discussed over dinner last night was privacy, expectations of privacy, and fora such as LiveJournal. And how very different some folks' expectations are from each other. And how much I expose here and on my web site, versus what I don't write (most often to respect others' privacy).

I've got errands I need to do today, but given how tired I still felt when I woke up, I decided not to push myself. Instead I finally watched Tuesday night's episode of Buffy (yes, a repeat from earlier this season, but one I hadn't seen the first time around) and last night's The West Wing Can't watch the episodes of 24 and Angel I taped this week, because I'm trying to watch those shows in order and I'm still a few weeks behind on each. Need to clear off another couple of tapes to re-use, or bite the bullet and take more out of my grocery money to buy a couple of blank tapes.

I'm babbling. I should crawl back into bed. At some point I need to force myself to go to the grocery store. I have a little money to spend on groceries, but didn't leave the house Tuesday, and was in "gotta get home really fast so that I can get out of the car before I get too tired to drive the rest of the way" mode last night, so actually getting to the store is being the problem this week.

Mood:: 'sleepy' sleepy
Music:: "Electric Washer" and "Underwear" on a borrowed miscellany tape

"Few computer hardware retailers also sell kittens. If you find one that does, you may actually just be having a weird dream. Check for flying monkeys." (From a Dan's Data review of a kitten as a computer room accessory.
