It seems to be a lot easier to accidentally burn myself on my soldering iron when working near my car's engine than when working at a workbench or desk or counter. I burned my finger Sunday night and the back of my hand this morning. a) That's like seven years worth of soldering-iron burns for me (maybe ten years worth) in a couple of days, and b) these burns are worse than I usually get from soldering irons.
I think I'll save the more disconcerting detail for the
too_much_info community.
At the moment Neosporin (generic equivalent, actually) is my friend. And yes, I used ice at the time of the burn. The ointment came later.
