In the April 2003 issues of Information Security, Lawrence M. Walsh ("On the Lighter Side", p.26) wrote:
"In an interview with the Reuters news service, the CEO of antivirus vendor Sophos described the average virus writer as male, 14-35, obsessed with computers and unable to get a date. [...] Assuming Hruska is correct, wouldn't a more proactive approach to the virus problem be hooking up these pathetic souls with a date?"(He acknowledges that the description also fits many computer security professionals, and goes on to pitch the idea of a "Hacker Dating Game" reality show.)
