Wow, that was a long day. Finally left the hospital (in or near Towson ... St. Joe's) at 20:00, did make it to HCB rehearsa at 21:35 (rehearsal normally runs from 20:00 to 22:00) and played two sets (and talked a bit about the plan for the recording sessions this weekend -- we're starting our second CD), got my plans for the ride home glitched and wound up having the band leader take me home (waaaaaay out of his way), and finally got home about half an hour ago.
Extremely disappointed cat, when I opened the front door around 20:30, grabbed my guitar and my music bag, and went right back out again. One scritch, then *poof*. Poor Perrine. So upset she actually ate all of the food in her bowl by the time I came home again! (She usually leaves some and insists that it doesn't count.)
I'm very tired. Called the Sheepie to cancel plans to go to the art museum (first Thursday of the month is free admission). Need to spend part of the next day just recovering from the day I just finished, and the rest of it finishing the work I didn't get to all day. (Never did get back to a keyboard until just now. That journal entry earlier was mailed in from my cell phone in the parking lot of the hospital.)
Hey, is it really November? Are you sure? I need to see whether the rain is over for the night so I can open some windows -- my house is quite too warm. (If this weather means I'll be able to wait later to turn on my furnace than last year, that's a Very Good Thing. But it could just as easily just be a random warm fluke of a week, and the "have to burn some heating oil" weather could still arrive at the usual time. Last year I turned on the furnace on Thanksgiving or the day after, IIRC.)
Much to write, much to write; both here and in email ... but I gotta crash early. Tired tired tired and migraine. Maybe catch up Friday (maybe), after trying to catch up on more urgent things when I next wake up.
