Didn't sleep well but did sleep some. Not feeling completely
awake now. Dreamt that HCB was in a "battle of the bands" and I
was upset/stressed because when I went to get dressed in my kilt
my white socks were muddy. (Later, dream-inconsistency rewrote
it so that they were just grey where the shoes would hide.) Also,
for about half the dream (not consecutive), I was (pick your
term...) GF, WBW[*], cisgendered female. And I drove a much
bigger car than I currently do (size of the Catalina I drove
two decades ago, but more Ford-looking than Pontiac, a darker colour, and more run-down). I'd gotten
there hours before the rest of the band and was being chatted
up by a nice bloke, which didn't seem unusual until I woke up
-- I'm not sure, but I think that part was a minor rewrite of
part of a sitcom I half-slept through in the past few days.
Venue was large, grey/brown warehouse-looking space, and "stage"
was one tine corner of the concrete floor. The parking lot
was much more pleasant (but too small for that size hall, which
I didn't notice until I started writing).
Stomach upset, throat slightly sore (really hating this
allergy season, and we probably haven't gotten to the worst
of it yet), still tired; not sure whether to roll over or go
eat. Dream details already fading (I think there was at least
one more aspect I'd planned to mention when I started writing)
but world still looking a little surreal. Do have gig tonight
but my garb is clean and it's a dance, not a battle-of-the-bands.
Anyone know the LD50 of loratadine? (More appropriately, LD01
or better yet TDLO, since 50% is crappy odds...) I want my
sinuses, throat, and lungs back from the trees currently using
them as orgy sites.
[*] "GF": "genetic fmale" (occasionally "GW" for
"genetic woman"), though usually used in contexts where "born,
raised as, and identifies as" are the aspects really meant,
not actual chromosome tests. Was used in TV/TS chat channels
and mailing lists when I spent more time in those places (might
still be), where it was also sometimes used for "girlfiend".
"WBW": "woman born woman", similar idea, but more often used
in anti-trans contexts where a group wants to exclude MTF
individuals from a women-only space. "GF" suggests (but does
not explicitly denote) being cisgendered; AFAICT, "WBW" says
less about gender identity than about current and natal anatomy,
but I don't imagine all that many guys at the far-male end of
the FTM spectrum try to get in in the first place ... do they?
And if you haven't followed a definition link from
a previous entry, figured it out from context here, or learned
the term elsewhere, "cisgendered" is the opposite of
"transgendered".
