Mostly good day, with some stresses, some glitches, some discomfort stirred into it. Very heavily tilted to the good-day side, but since I'm too tired to do the good bits justice, I'll blog a couple of the bad things briefly before I forget the cutesy phrasing...
A drive that begins with the thoughts, "Wow, that's bright. I'd better put on my sunglasses. Why aren't my sunglasses in the glovebox? Oh, I'm already wearing them. Wow, that's bright," probably counts as an "uh oh". And also a very sunny day (at least at that hour).
I find MapQuest generally useful, and their driving time estimates usually useful as well, if not always spot-on. But as near as I can figure, their estimate of the time it takes to get from Alexandria to Arlington is based on the assumption that nobody else ever tries to turn left off of Glebe Road. Or drives as though they're older than nineteen.
Better bits of the day when I'm a little less tired.
