Gig in Newport News went well, despite inauspicious start of my day yesterday and forboding weather forecasts. Small audience but they seemed to enjoy us. (I've got a new standard for success in reaching an audience: if a person in a wheelchair stands up to dance, we're probably doing something right.) Sliced my thumb, didn't break any strings but did break my guitar strap and discover that my microphone has gone bad, and am excruciatingly exhausted now, but on the whole I'd have to say the weekend was a positive thing.
