I was just wondering how folks would interpret and react to the following claim (which used to be true and probably still is):
"I can out-accelerate any car I'm likely to encounter on a public street."

Argh. Nastybad headache. Took drugs; it kept getting worse. Seeing whether basil+lavender tea helps. Interfering with my Samhain night plans. Probably need sleep (didn't get enough last night, didn't manage to squeeze in a nap). No time for that right now. Feh. *grumble*
Have backup plan if headache lifts too late for main plan, but backup plan isn't as much fun. (Won't be a completely spoiled holiday if the hedache lets up late, but am really hoping the tea knocks it back straightaway. Anyone expecting to see me ... here's the why-not, in case I don't show.
Odd ... heard three groups of trick-or-treaters go past w/o ringing my bell. Maybe they're just skipping the entire block because nobody seems to be home at any of the other not-boarded-up houses, and didn't bother looking up to see that my light is on? Dunno. Not that we get very many here most years anyhow.
Nearly finished composing tune I wanted to post tonight; so I'm about halfway through writing it down. Gonna be a disgusting number of ledger-lines. I hate reading ledger lines -- not sure whether to just switch clefs, but that's a two-second change right before printing -- but have discovered they're not as painful to write as to read.
