Dammit, half past four in the morning[*] on a day when I have to get up early for a gig is not the time to get my brain filled with an idea for a melody+ostinato that wants to get written down.

I dare not start transcribing now, lest I wind up using all of my sleep time transcribing and arranging. Gotta hope I remember the important elements when I wake up.

It's too bad inspiration can't be scheduled.

(Diane, I think it'll be really cool on the 5-string if I still remember it when I have time to write it down.)
