I slept terribly last night, and didn't really get solidly asleep
until the sun was up. And then, of course, I overslept badly, waking
up about fifteen minutes before
justgus37
was supposed to come pick me up to take me to the
HCB gig today (a party
in Southern MD). So I was running around like crazy trying to get
showered and into my kilt in time, still feeling like crap from not
having slept enough and then waking up too abruptly ... skipped washing
my hair, skipped breakfast, misplaced my towel, misplaced other
things, started losing my freaking mind. Panic city. And then,
still dripping from the shower, I started feeling nauseated and had
to lie down, at which point I also became impossibly sleepy. As I
crashed, I prayed, "Lord, please make this whole morning turn out
to have been a dream, and let it really still be before 11:30."
As I was fading into unconsciousness, it did occur to me that I should try to open my eyes one final time Just In Case.
And lo, 'twas about a third to eleven, and the absolutely frantic morning had been a dream! (Thank you, Lord.) *whew*
Now I'm feeling exhausted from that very tiring dream, but I am awake in time to get ready without complete panic -- I even have time to type this in here. Again: *whew*
