Whoops -- I ought to make sure I get around to posting at least this much before everyone heading up to Pennsic for land-grab hits the road:

I'm not showing up land-grab weekend; I'm still sorting out when, how, and even whether I'm going (but if I fail utterly, I'm going to be rather upset -- I haven't missed a Pennsic since the first one I got to, in the 1980s). I realized that I was not going to be able to get myself ready in time to drive the truck without hurting myself badly enough to make the drive really difficult, nor would I be able to sort out my finances enough in time ... and of course not getting paid to drive the truck makes the money angle even more difficult, but oh well.

Assuming I do get there, I'll be camping with Caer Edgemere (in E15 as usual, as far as I know -- go downhill on Brewer's Road, past Howard's Fenway, and look to the right just before the tree line (across the street from Mountain Confederation)). I'm not sure yet when I'll arrive (being not entirely certain whether I'll show up makes predicting when a bit of a challenge), but I'm hoping to get there sometime during the first week.

Hope to see a bunch of you there. Wish me luck.

"I have been using terms like Creationist vulgaris for people who truly believe in religion and their definition of reality is different. As long as they don;t demand tax payers to teach that view as the truth, they are well within their right to be deluded. But, the Deception Institute and ID hawkers are Creationist predatori. Their main aim is to get money and political power from the Creationist vulgaris. This is the group that is responsible for the most vicious lies." -- Ravilyn Sanders (commenter at The Panda's Thumb), 2009-07-10
