[*] Just in case there's anyone who doesn't already know this: always check the mouseover text on that day's strip when looking at xkcd, and if you're looking at a copy somebody else has reposted and there is no mouseover text, go to the xkcd site itself and check the mouseover text there. Sometimes it's a whole second joke; sometimes it's the missing punchline to the joke in the image. (And to anyone who reposts an xkcd strip without including the mouseover text (it's just the "title=" attribute of the <img> tag!), shame on you.)
