From the Quotation of the day mailing list, 2010-12-29:
"Charlie Darwin looked so far into the way things are
He caught a glimpse of God's unfolding plan
God said "I'll make some DNA, they can use it any way they want
From paramecium right up to man
They'll have sex, and mix up sections of their code; they'll have mutations
The whole thing works like clockwork over time
I'll just sit back in the shade while everyone gets laid
That's what I call intelligent design."-- Chris Smither, from the song "Origin of Species", recorded on his album, Leave the Light On.

[Yeah, I know, as a scientific theory [i.e. explanatory model that fits observed evidence and can be tested], the theory of evolution does not require actions by, attention from, existence of, or even mention of God. I still like this lyric. (Of course, the fact that I have a religious (non-falsifiable, no pretense of science) belief in the existence of God, separate from my scientific understanding of why His existence isn't required to explain stuff, may be a factor in my liking this quote.)
