"[Manitoba farmer Matt Reimer] says he's not even a tinkerer, he doesn't even like computer all that much, he just wanted to see if he can do this [created a self-driving tractor]" -- Julian Uzielli, "Cows that milk themselves? Farmers turn to high-tech for help", The Current, 2016-04-05 ( transcript
[Right. But that's how the road to tinkererdom starts. Heh. Relatedly, "Originally he didn't even want to sell it, but he got so many inquiries that he set up a small business called Reimer Robotics, and he'll just help other farmers install this technology on their tractors."]
"You know, smartphones are handy, but I never knew they would be good for milking cows." -- Anna Maria Tremonti, same episode, same segment [Talking about a cow-milking robot encountering a problem and calling dairy farmers Rick and Doreen Shantz while they were at a hockey game, where they reset it with a smartphone app without leaving their seats]
A good episode for quoting from, but the main bit that jumped out at me was Reimer saying he's "not a tinkerer".
