Things I currently need help with: (1) My van is still in Bowie. Once I have a way to pay for towing (because I'm not sure it'll make it to the mechanic under its own power), I can get a ride to Bowie to pick it up, but I'm looking for a ride back to Baltimore afterward -- some weekday next week, most likely. (2) I need to get a computer from Wheaton in the next couple days -- is there anyone going to be around there who could pick it up and hand it off to someone who'll be seeing me soon? (I.e. "fannish express"?) It doesn't have to get to me as quickly as it needs to get out of the current owner's way.

Other troubles: my Internet connection is messed up (antenna blown out of alignment), so most of my communication channels will be slow/spotty until mid-Monday unless I feel steady enough for the awkward climb onto the roof. Obviously it's not completely out, but it's dropping a third or more of the packets, so some things take a lot of retries. (Streaing vieo is right out. Still working on downloading this morning's podcasts.) And ... once the van gets to a mechanic, I'll find out just how expensive and/or catastrophic the repair situation is.

Better news: I've resumed making (gradual) progress on sorting/arranging stuff in the house. Mostly clearing space for other things to be moved into later, so far.
