Four hours after taking the Neurontin, I no longer feel drugged. I just have a band-around-the-temples headache. Noting on RxList that vasodilation is one of the side effects, I'm taking a cerebral vasoconstrictor to see if that makes the headache go away. (I keep Coca-Cola in the house for guests, and for headaches. This one has the feel of the type of headache caffeine sometimes helps with. Interestingly, caffeine is one of the drugs to which I have a paradoxical reaction: although the "helps with some kinds of headaches" effect is normal, if I don't have a headache it often acts as a soporific or gives me a headache. I don't get any stimulant effect from it to speak of.)
