My cousins are so cool ...

... and my mom is attempting to control things she has no control over, and my brother crossed a line in a big way, and the psychodrama is hitting the fan.

Warning: angsty post headed this way in the next day or so. First I have to calm down enough to even be able to rant coherently.

Rant sneak preview: Acting like what-I-am is a scandal makes it one, and I don't fucking want to be a scandal -- I am unashamed and unapologetic about being who I am. And my brother is not fucking allowed to try to shove his words into my mouth.

Let's just say that tonight was the closest I've come to exchanging blows with someone in the past, uh, decade or so.

On the plus side, Mom isn't going to be at my other brother's house on Saturday, so we don't have to confront the issue of Mom seeing me dressed as myself for the first time just yet

And just so I can say something positive in this post (oh wait, I did -- I said my cousins are cool -- but the rest has been pissy enough that it needs another positive thing), the brother who didn't pick a fight with me is performing with his new band Saturday night, followed by a reunion concert of his previous band. The location is Eastport Clipper in Annapolis, and he said the new band (unnamed, but listed as "Back in Blue" for this show) will go on at 22:00, and Blue Miracle will play at 23:00.
