eftychia: Me in kilt and poofy shirt, facing away, playing acoustic guitar behind head (Default)

I still need to get around to writing about recently-read books in more detail and adding them to my books page on my web site, but I did want to say this before I forget: I found 1634: The Galileo Affair, by Eric Flint and Andrew Dennis, to be much more of a nail-biter than 1632 or 1633, despite the presence of life-and-death battle scenes in 1633. The tension in 1634 is drawn out over a longer span. I was disappointed not to see some of the characters I really wanted to, but in the afterword Flint mentions that other novels set in the same universe and same year will deal with those characters. *whew*

(Thank you, [livejournal.com profile] thette. I enjoyed it as much as you thought I would.)
