eftychia: Me in kilt and poofy shirt, facing away, playing acoustic guitar behind head (Default)

Okay, Sunday was spent recovering from Friday and Saturday. That was not unexpected, though I'd held out a faint hope of returning to Darkover to finish some conversations dropped in the middle ... and sleeping all the way through the daylight hours of Sunday was a surprise. Monday was similarly spent feeling completely run-down and resting to finish recovering from the weekend. Today I woke feeling ... well, not great, but fairly normal-for-me-these-days. I cooked something breakfasty and decided to wash the dishes before the pile in the sink (some of which had been there since Thursday, but I haven't been home and active enough to generate a lot of them) got large enough to look imposing. After all, as long as I was feeling decent ... right?

Halfway through doing the dishes I discovered that this is not a day I should be washing dishes. Ouch. Middle-back pain. Lower-back pain. Right-buttock pain (huh? must've been standing funny to compensate for the back pain). It snuck up on me, so I didn't notice that it had gone from "uncomfortable" to "oh bloody Hell, this is screwed up" until it was already right proper pain. Bleah.

Maybe I'll get around to posting some of the "gee, I should write a journal entry about this" things in my head this afternoon; maybe not. I think I'll still make it to rehearsal, but won't know for sure until I see how well I manage my body the next several hours. I don't think I'm going to do laundry today. Or repair computers. Or go anywhere that requires much walking.

But hey, I had a hot, filling breakfast. That's something.
