just stuck areply into TG about some post you have from the 1980's have you backed them up with a libary as they are very very important historical documents!!!
I hadn't thought about that, though it sounds so obvious when you say it. Seeing whether those tapes are still readable has been a task lurking in the depths of my to-do list for a long time -- I'll move it higher in the queue, especially since I now have hardware that might be the right sort, once I install an OS on it.
