[I'm cheating a little in that I'm quoting myself as part of this, but I was quoting someone else at the time; and more importantly, what I thought made this QotD material was the response, so my own contribution is only for the setup.]

[livejournal.com profile] dglenn: "A friend of mine was fond of saying, 'Profanity is the last resort of the inarticulate motherfucker.'"

[livejournal.com profile] realinterrobang: "You know what's even funnier about that? 'Motherfucker' is an obscenity, not a profanity."

Oh, I dunno, I think some people hold sex as pretty damned sacred. ;)

It is. The flavour and nature of the intimacy, and extraneous relationships must be taken into full account, however. Love is sacred. What happens between two people may involve sex. I'm good at it, but don't need to exercise it to love.

So what is sex? What is Love? I have no line. If I love in that flavour, it is sexual intercourse. If I love you in my default sense, you matter to me. At least as deeply as those I love sexually. I'm trying to figure this out.

So I'm not the only one who points out this difference? Kewl.
