[Hmm. I guess I ought to use the icon made from a photo shot at one of our concerts, huh?]
This coming Saturday, The Homespun Ceilidh Band has two gigs on the same day. Like the same weekend last year, we're doing a free concert in Gaithersburg, Maryland after the St. Patrick's Day parade in the morning (yeah, I know, it's not on St. Patrick's Day -- but I imagine it'd be a lot harder to get as many participants and spectators on a weekday morning) and a reasonably-priced concert in Greenbelt, Maryland in the evening. According to the weather forecast I heard, it's supposed to be a comfortable temperature for the outdoor gig (Gaithersburg) this year. So all y'all in MD, DC, and Northern VA, come on out to listen and watch (and buy our CDs)!
I'm going to save myself a lot of typing and just copy/paste a section from the newsletter Felicia emailed:

Saturday MARCH 11, 2006 -- EVENING:
GREENBELT ARTS CENTER FUNDRAISER/CONCERT
-- 8:00 PM
Greenbelt Arts Center
123 Centerway
Greenbelt, MD 20770
301-441-8770
Admission: $10 general, $8 seniors and students.
Parking is free (go behind the Co-Op; look for Postal Trucks.)
Call the GAC box office at any time for reservations or for more information: 301-441-8770 (Reservations are recommended, but not required. Get there early!)
GETTING THERE: Center Way flanks a small shopping center that contains several small buildings. A Co-Op grocery store, a theater, and a post office share one of the buildings. In the basement of the building, under the Co-Op, are the Post Office branch and the Arts Center.
The entrance to the theater/Arts Center is on the side of the building, to the right of the entrance to the Post Office branch.
Take your best way to Rte. 193 (GreenBelt Road) where it crosses the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. From Rte.193, turn onto Southway, which begins at Rte.193; you can turn only one way onto it from Rte.193. Follow Southway for several blocks until it ends at a shopping center (CenterWay).
Proceed fearlessly into the shopping center. (The driveway along the shopping center front is CenterWay.)
Go back and downhill to the rear of the shopping center, behind the Co-Op. Park in the lot where the Postal vehicles are.
I hope to see some of you there, or there. And if you'd like to be added to the mailing list, tell me what email address to pass along to Felicia, or email her directly (her address is listed on the Calendar page on the band's web site).

BTW, I neeed a copy of your second CD. I would like to pick it up while I'm in DC. Who should I talk to?

You can get a copy of Home from me, if I manage to see you while you're in town, but given how unreliable my body is lately, at rehearsal tonight I'll try to make sure to put a copy into the hands of someone more likely to see you.
Worst case, you can get it from cdbaby.com (I haven't gotten it up on our own web site yet -- first time I have enough spoons, I'll do that as well).
