That sort of reminds me of fermenting quick mead. The bottle exploded with such force that:
Juliana and I thought it might have been a nearby gunshot.
The soda bottle inverted -- quite literally. The only part not inverted was the neck.
The kitchen was drenched. We had placed the bottle (and a couple of cousins) under a table and blanket, but the cupboards 6 feet away and five feet off the floor were sticky.
