you know, i keep hearing this kind of thing, and what i want to know is, who the hell are these people who are afraid to admit they're liberals? because for god's sake, i was born in DC, i grew up in the area, and it would never even have occurred to me that there was anything shameful about being a liberal. admittedly, i'm not a public figure, so nobody gives a shit what my politics are anyway, but isn't this the goddamned U.S. of A? wasn't the whole fucking point of this country that we could have whatever political beliefs we wanted and be free to air them in the public arena?

so really, tell me: who are these spineless cowards? because i want to go to their houses and bitch-slap every one of them.
