In response to the question "is there such a thing as a girl sock?": "All socks are both male and female. When I put my foot in a sock, it's female. When I put the sock in a shoe, it's male." -- Steven O'Neill (in local newsgroup panix.test, 2006-05-02)

There's something fundamental missing in the language here, as the gay and/or bi contingent in the crowd could point out. If the foot went in the sock, and the sock went in the shoe, the sock is Happy Pierre, the middle guy in a 3-way buttfuck. Always wondered how they kept those in rhythm.

But it's *not* missing:

"While the sock may be dangled and swung about like the penis,
it's function is more like the vagina, to accept the erect foot."
