Dear Perrine,

How did you do that? One moment the toy was there between us, one end between my fingers, then after a blurry paw-swipe, it was gone. Not tangled in the blanket, not flung off the far side of the bed, not hidden under you, just ... *poof* gone.

Leather does not pop like a soap bubble and vanish. What. Did. You. Do?

perplexed,

You should crosspost this one to the lettertocat community

The last time I tried to post to [livejournal.com profile] note_to_cat it wouldn't let me, even though I'm (IIRC) a member of that community. No idea why.

heh - last week, the cat herself magically disappeared. She started to crawl into a plastic grocery bag. i reached for the closed end to take it away from her (so she wouldn't choke/suffocate), yanked it, and WOOSH. No cat. completely vanished. Didn't find her for about an hour and I have no idea which realm of hyperspace she poofed into during all that time.

Yep. Cats have the ability to teleport (sometimes) themselves and (sometimes) other objects. Timeshifting too (which is, of course, the same thing), so things can seem to disappear for random amounts of time, only to show up again later in the same or a different place. Reverse timeporting results in apparent duplicates that eventually resolve back into a single object. I have observed all of these on many occasions. I wish I could learn the trick myself. Très utile.
