So yesterday I worried a lot. Because of a worrisome weather forecast. And then I posted a lot (worried->babble). And when I went to bed I had one eye on a weather web site to watch the radar. Though only a couple people commented (it's not like I was writing anything all that interesting) I'm guessing that more than a few of my friends were doing some hoping on my behalf.
Around midnight the storm I'd been tracking finally arrived.
Funny thing though:
See that convenient gap? My house is in
southwest Baltimore ("SoWeBo"), pretty close to where I-95
enters the city. I got brushed by one edge of that little
gap. No rain until after the section visible on radar had
gone by, and then not very hard nor very long. I got a tiny
amount of water dripping briefly on the third floor.
*whew*
The remaining question, of course, is whether I can get something done about the roof before the next rain. Today I think I'd better try to get my prescriptions first, then get back to the roof matter.
