Is this Greenbelt as in the natural spaces conservation group in Ipswich, MA? They stayed in my office building a year while they had new offices built.

Nope; this Greenbelt (http://www.google.com/maps?q=Greenbelt,+MD,+USA&sa=X&oi=map&ct=title) is the city (http://www.greenbelt.com/gcom/aboutgb.htm) in Maryland with a somewhat interesting history (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenbelt,_Maryland) if you have any interest in New Deal social (and economic) experiments. (But with a name like "Greenbelt", name collisions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_belt_%28disambiguation%29) aren't surprising. Actually, I'm surprised that the list on the Wikipedia disambiguation page isn't longer. Then again, I don't see the group you mentioned listed there, unless they're connected to the California one, so there are probably other greenbelts missing...)

Greenbelt, MD plays a key role in the history of the Homespun Ceilidh Band (http://www.homespunceilidh.com): [livejournal.com profile] fidhle wanted to put together a fundraiser concert for the Greenbelt Arts Center (http://www.greenbeltartscenter.org/), and recruited a pickup band for the occasion (already established groups participated as well). But the result was too good, and too much fun, to let it just be a one-off, so we stuck together, started looking for other gigs, and here we are fourteen years and two CDs later, still having fun and working up a sweat.
