Ever have one of those days when you suddenly feel you need to know the resistance of Gatorade? (It acted like the opposite of a capacitor so I'm confused)

Are you saying the resistance decreased over time when you measured it?

If so, I'd guess some kind of chemical reaction, since I doubt Gatorade is inductive.

That's exactly what I'm saying. Water acted like a capacitor (resistance increased over time), seltzer fluctuated buy hung around 600K, pickle juice fluctuated but hung around 63K, and Gatorade kept going down the longer I left the probes in.

Everybody's guess so far (including mine) is that the teensy current from the meter is enough to induce some sort of chemical reaction. But nobody yet has had a good idea what reaction it is.

It seemed like such a simple question when it popped into my head.

I would expect it to react something like a salt-water solution -- if only I could remember how that reacts. :)
