Probably too late, but FWIW: Arlington streets are A-Z running west from the Potomac River, one syllable name, then A-Z two syllable name, then about A-L or so of three syllables. These generally are north-south streets, and may not be continuous (there may be interruptions in the blocks.)
Major East-West roads (Rt. 50, Rt 29/Lee HWY/Arlington Blvd., Rt 123, GW Pkwy) cut across these and are uninterrupted.
There is a place where Glebe Road meets Glebe Road, near Alexandria.
I couldn't see comments until after I'd gotten out of the car and back in front of a real computer. (I did get a useful text message from skreidle about using Google SMS, but was unable to reply for some reason.)
And yes, the intersection of Glebe Glebe and Glebe turned out to be the key piece MapQuest screwed up.
I haven't quite gotten used to sorting out how the diagonal streets and curly streets all fit in.
