Some people do ask a strange woman to give birth to their baby. They will pay about $10,000 to $50,000 to the strange woman for her efforts.

Snark about the lousy metaphor aside, there are some kinds of problems that, for some people, are a lot easier to deconstruct with the answers already present. The current pedagogical models seem to like to ignore the presence of people who like to reverse-engineer problem-solving, but the same kind of conventional wisdom also says all kinds of other weird things, like that suspense is fun and Christmas presents should be surprises, so...
