Recruiting Musicians For Darkover

Darkover is approaching (Friday 2007-11-23 - Saturday 2007-11-25 at the Holiday Inn Select Baltimore-North in Timonium, Maryland), and once again there'll be a Regency Ball that Saturday and a Playford dance that Friday. And I'm once again recruiting musicians for both dances. If you're a musician planning to attend Darkover and you're interested in joining the pick-up band, reply here or email me at dglenn@panix.com.

Oooh, Regency dance? Too bad it's in November, 'cause I'd go to the con just for the dance. I'm not even sure what kind of con Darkover is.

It's a small-ish SF con loosely focused around Marion Zimmer Bradly's Darkover series books.

As Supremeherptile says, it is smallish but it has some nice music (Clam Chowder, Cambion Women, HCB), and can be fun. It is Thanksgiving Weekend in Timonium. I've written about it before in my LJ if you want more specifics.

Thank you for the info. I can't do a November con because it's NaNoWriMo. It's bad enough I have to take time away from writing for things like work, sleep, the occasional shower. I don't think I could shoe-horn a con in there, too. ;)

Assuming things go as they have the last couple of years, I should be available for the Playford dance on Friday.

Assuming things go as they have the last couple of years, the Regency will probably conflict with someone's concert I really want to see and my ability to grab a real sit-down dinner and still leave time to get a good seat for the Clams...
