I don't encounter porn or cat macros involuntarily. Must be missing something? Standards of human interaction don't apply where? Whose standards? Very vague.

You haven't been on IRC much, have you? :/ (mind you, there are some channels on some servers that are quite civil, but they're very much in the minority)

IRC is an UA. So I guess I don't go there. I'm not missing that much, am I? I lead a sheltered life, perhaps. Unix geek, firewall... I don't mind it.

In living with a cat I've found that real life is quite full of cat macros, you just have to supply your own captions (but they suggest themselves quite readily).
