Ishmael surveyed tatoos that covered the hard, sculpted body of the harpooner. "Perhaps being a cannibal is not so bad afterall," he thought as his eyes trailed down his chest to the bulge in his trousers. His eyes raised back up to meet Queequeeg's gaze, and he said, in a calm, steady voice, "Call me Ishmael."

Queequeeg met his gaze unfalteringly. He strode up to Ishmael and pressed his half-naked flesh against his open shirt, one hand draping across his shoulder. In his strangely accented English, he replied, "I'll call you more things before the night is over."

(For the record, I wrote the above as a joke before I noticed that you had linked to an example of said slash. The pseudo-academic reasoning and research for said slash is hilarious. :)
