Unsurprisingly, our perceptions of which is the feature and which is the misfeature coincide...

I wouldn't mind being able to flag if it was related ONLY to illegal issues, or if you were marking it for yourself; mark enough things on oral sex offensive, and the system just stops bothering you with 'em. The problem is that anything you have public can be marked offensive by anyone who has been here for 4 weeks. And in bringing it to the attention of 6Apart, if the person who looks at it agrees, then regardless of what it is, how non-offensive your social group would find it, anything, it gets changed *without your consent*.

So all it takes is one person finding the right admin, and anything by a 17-year-old lesbian discussing her first trip to a night club and kissing a stranger to a man in a dress talking about the issues that engenders (uhm, so to speak) is tagged. They won't tell you they did it (so entries from 2 years ago might suddenly be flagged as adult content; you won't know), and they haven't yet explained how someone whose content has been flagged as offensive can respond to the accusation. In addition, they will not be keeping track of the accusers, so if someone takes it into their heads to mark an entry of a person they dislike every hour or so, they can screw that person good and there will be no proof that it's part of a harassment campaign.

The number of reasons why it's a stupid, inane, and ill-thought out idea build, this is just built on my own reading of the policy and such, and I'm sure others have found another 10 faults.
