Okay, I should really be off searching YouTube for relevant videos, but until I get around to doing that I'll put this out there in case any of my friends already know the answer:

Do lions and tigers do the pre-pounce butt-wiggle that housecates do?

In other news, I found the claw-scissors. I got most of Perrine's front toes done before she woke up enough to squirm free -- I still have to get her dewclaws and her hind feet.

And I take some small comfort in knowing that even on my most useless of days due to pain and fatigue (today was another such, alas), I still have some utility as cat-furniture.

Snow earlier. Pretty. Vehicles frosted like donuts. Not enough stayed put on the pavement to notice. Grassy spots properly winterwhite.

Hmmm...good question. I'd love to see the videos if possible. I know that Tigers, when confined, have similar litter box habits to house cats. I saw it myself when I was at the Mirage in Las Vegas. The others in my group went to the casino, I stood for hours and watched the tigers. Go figure.

I *vaguely* recall watching a video of a larger cat (might have been a mid-size, like a lynx, or maybe on one of those "bringing up a baby tiger" shows) that did a distinct butt-wiggle and mentioning it to [livejournal.com profile] galaneia...so I suspect yes.
