There are certain days on which I am especially grateful to have an oversize bladder and slow kidneys.

My right knee and left ankle hurt very, very badly, and there are stairs between me and the bathroom. I can see how this could be a much bigger problem than it is.

Though how to reconcile my slow urine production with my annoyingly rapid elimination of useful drugs remains a mystery to me.

In cases where I could walk but only with great discomfort, and there were stairs between me and the bathroom, I must admit to having washed out a pickle jar and kept it handy in the past so I could take it down with me less often. I suspect some people think I should be ashamed of this...

I'm not going to tell you to be ashamed of it, but I am going to laugh. :)

The reason I am not going to tell you to be ashamed of it is because although I'm not anatomically equipped to make peeing in an empty pickle jar really easy (without using a funnel), I did spend a few weeks in a wheelchair the summer I was 17, and getting a wheelchair into my parents' bathroom was...interesting, even though their house is otherwise remarkably handicap-friendly relative to other homes its age and type. So I really understand the motivation. Walking's also a somewhat iffy proposition for me from time to time. Maybe I should buy a funnel.

some drugs are eliminated, others are broken down by the liver

I'd be screwed. For such a large person, I have a ridiculously tiny bladder.
