G-d, I am so grateful that I am so arrogant - as in, "I
know more than any d---d doctor when it comes to raising
my kids."

Yeah, I know this was meant to be a clever joke about
Ferberizing, but it struck a nerve with me. I tried to
keep my kids in bed w/me as long as they wanted - & when
The Hubby (tm) insisted we had to boot out WombatGirl at
18 months because she was kicking him, I swear it's one
of the things that makes her so such an abject pleaser,
& I hate it. Luckily, The Hubby (tm) is more or less
resigned to PuppyBoy's coming in whenever he (PuppyBoy,
not the Hubby (tm)!) wakes up in his own bed by himself.

Children need to feel loved & wanted - it gives them all
the confidence they need to face life.
