Not to mention the ease that men have "hmm, do I wear the blue shirt or the blue shirt today?" where stereotypically if a woman wears blue 3 days in a row she is viewed as not having any fashion sense. AND the fashion of men's clothing doesn't change nearly as fast so something chic from one year will probably be acceptable 2-3 years later. Ties may be an exception but $5-$30 for a tie vs. $50-$1000 for an outfit means that you can afford to wear a tie for a season then retire it (or put it away until that style comes back in 10 years and the colors will probably still be OK ... the space to have 15 different years of styles for full body clothing is insane ... and while aspects of style will come back, the whole package seems rarer).
