[After being discharged from hospital following treatment for an injury...] "They gave me medication ... So now I feel like I imagine people of ordinary intelligence feel all the time." -- Dr. Temperance Brennan (played by Emily Deschanel), on the Fox television series Bones, episode "Harbingers in a Fountain" (aired 2009-09-17)

I love that show. Brennan is so much like so many people I know who are extremely knowledgeable in one area and ... not so much anywhere else. She's a specialist's specialist, as opposed to Booth, who is a generalist with knowledge about a wide variety of things.

what's amusing to me is that the original brennan (in the reichs' books) is pretty much *nothing* like the television version.
