Ah, ducking the question! :-) I misread your poll response there.
I haven't done anything with aliai on Windows, except a few shortcuts I've created on my desktop at work. But it's a comfort there to know that Windows will assume I'm trying to delete the shortcut, not the source, when I want to clear it from my desktop.
And now that I come to think of it, I often *want* the Unix symbolic link to have a different name from the file it points to. So maybe I'd rather have "Make it yet another command-line option, to choose between copy/overwrite and rename/create, and/or prompt the user to choose."
