I feed my 17-year-old Freya, who has trouble keeping weight on, IAMS dry kitten food. I've also fed her canned kitten food, but that's pretty expensive. The other cats think that the IAMS stuff is kitty crack and fight over the scraps in her bowl when I open the bathroom door, so it probably smells good. Worth a try.
