We haven't seen that hawk in a few days, but it did show up on the 29th, so here are a couple more pictures of it.
I dropped a television set on my shin yesterday ... or more accurately, I thought I could prevent damage to a falling television by catching it with my shin (and I was correct). The bruise is much less spectacular than initial swelling suggested it would be, probably because I remembered to put ice on it.
More later, maybe. Feeling rather scattered, between only having slept a couple hours last night, and a headache that backs off a little now and then but won't quite go away. Trying to assemble a photo portfolio from just what images I've already put on the web and what I have with me on the PowerBook and the camera, to try to take advangate of most recent offer of marketing help. (Only been procrastinating on building online portfolio for ... ah, er ... *cough* ... uh, thirteen years?)

(Before the era of plastics, there was something called
"the pharmacist's catch" - which consisted of sticking
your foot out the instant you dropped a bottle. It worked,
too. But it did lead to a joke that is now incomprehensible:
"How did the pharmacist break his foot?"
"He got a part-time job in an engine block factory")
