"The moral distinction between the bully and the victim IS important. Those who support same-sex marriage are not advocating taking anyone else's rights away. They aren't advocating barring marriage for straight people, denying them access to their spouses' hospital beds, denying them inheritance rights and health insurance and custody rights, making their kids' lives and their own less secure.
